What is a BLUE DOT?
A BLUE DOT is a citizen fighting for democracy in a red state.
What is PROJECT BLUE DOT?
PROJECT BLUE DOT is a 3-year pilot program begun in January 2022, geared toward building direct, personal, long-term relationships between Democrats in “safe-blue” counties and their counterparts in “ruby-red” rural Southern regions, in the common interest of protecting American democracy for all.
Our pilot county is Paulding County, Georgia, in the 14th Congressional District of Georgia, home to Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Becoming a “Safe-Blue” member of PROJECT BLUE DOT is a long term commitment. This pilot program in Paulding County for example has committed to working with, and for, Paulding County Dems until the end of the 2024 presidential election.
Rural politics is a year-round affair, and all politics are local. We cannot expect to have much success in these rural areas just kind of bombing in a few weeks before an election with people unfamiliar with the very important local specifics. And any face-to-face encounters in Paulding and surrounding counties need to be local. It has to come from
neighbors.
